Avenue Q - Review

Avenue Q - what can I say!

It’s brilliant. A really great evening out in London.

The show from start to finish is hilarious as the puppets take to the stage with incredible voice actors who really make the show brilliant.

The puppets (feel) almost really life like and occasionally you forget they are voiced by actors on stage who play several characters.

It’s a small cast but well executed. There’s some great song numbers and some stand out moments and I haven’t laughed so much at a show for a very long time.

It’s 2 hours of pure madness with James and I both wondering what on earth was happening on stage as there was something different happening every second the show was on stage.

It’s safe to say, James and I would happily go and see it again.

It’s not recommended for children. For obviously reasons. It’s recommended for 13+, there could be some material that could offend some people.

Overall. We throughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone who wants to see a show in London.

With thanks to Raw PR for the invite.

Glorious! Review

Tuesday night is theatre night and we were invited to the Everyman Cheltenham for Glorious! A Play about a singer, who could not sing! Starring Corrie's Wendi Peters,

Dubbed ‘the worst singer in the world’, Glorious! is the true story of American socialite Florence Foster Jenkins, who was known for her flamboyant costumes, enigmatic performances and decidedly off-key voice.

Starring Wendi Peters (Coronation Street) as Florence Foster Jenkins and Matthew James Morrison (EastEnders), as Cosme McMoon, in this 20th anniversary production, this hilarious production played to rave reviews at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre and is the feel-good comedy we’ve been waiting for.

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold - Review

Starring Ralph Little as Alec Leamas in the The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, this play is strong, exciting, funny and dramatic, with incredible production throughout. The play runs for 2hrs 10 minutes (with interval) and there's lots to fit in to the short running time, but it is done seamlessly. Ralph Little's character is not only hilarious delivering some dark comedy for scenes, they also have strong acting presence on stage captivating the audience from the moment the house lights go down.

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold is a riveting journey through the fog-shrouded terrain of Cold War espionage, deception, and moral compromise.
